Dear Families,

Welcome back, Griffins! 🎉💙💛

The halls are ready, the classrooms are waiting, and we are SO excited to welcome our Griffins back to West Hills STEM Academy! 🏫✨ Our staff has been busy getting everything ready for a year filled with learning, laughter, friendships, celebrations, and a whole lot of Griffin magic! 📚🌟

This year is full of possibilities! 🚀 We can’t wait to watch our students discover new things, take on challenges, find things they LOVE, make new friends, and surprise themselves with just how much they can do. 💡📖 Every day is a new adventure, and we know there will be so many moments worth celebrating along the way! 🎉👏✨

And, of course, get ready for some HOUSE FUN! 🐉🦁🐯🐻🐺🦚🔥🖤 Our House System brings Griffins of all ages together to build friendships, grow as leaders, cheer each other on, and have a TON of fun! 🏆💙 Reveur may have claimed the House Championship last year, but it’s a brand-new year, Griffins, and the race for the House Cup starts NOW! 🐺🔥🏆 Who will rise to the top this year?! 🎉💪✨ From House competitions and celebrations to classroom adventures, school traditions, special events, and those little everyday moments that make West Hills special, there is so much to look forward to! 🥳🏆💫

Most of all, we want every Griffin to walk through our doors knowing one very important thing: YOU BELONG HERE! 💙💛 You are an important part of our West Hills family, we are so happy you’re here, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year! 🌟

Get ready, Griffins! 🎒✏️ The adventure is about to begin, and it’s going to be an AMAZING year! 🚀🎉💫

SEL Information and Opt Out Option

Bremerton School District is committed to supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral health of students. The insights gathered from SEL surveys are invaluable to school staff, as they help to better understand students' emotional well-being and social interactions. This data plays a crucial role in creating supportive environments and targeted interventions that foster student success. This information will help schools and staff understand the needs of students at both the individual and school level.

Families who wish to opt out of the SEL survey, should contact their child's homeroom teacher or counselor to express this decision prior to 9/7/26. The teacher or counselor will guide them through the opt-out process and ensure the student is excluded from the survey. It is important for families to communicate their request before the survey is administered to ensure it is processed in time. Afterward, families will receive confirmation that the student will not participate in the survey.
